Multimodal Robotic Artistic Installations for Sound Production

Resumo

This article describes sensing systems and mobile robotic platforms that were developed as multimodal robotic artistic installations for sound production. AURAL, an evolutionary mapping of trajectories of the robots into sound events is compared to AURAL₂, a generative soundscape described as a regulating system. Aspects of man-machine and machine-machine interaction are approached in perspective to viewpoints related to Computational Creativity and Evolutionary Sonification.
