The 3rd International Reasearch Groups Meeting: Mixed Realities & Convergences between Art, Science and Technology was a partnership between the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), with organization by the Realidades research group – ECA-USP, Department of Fine Arts – , coordinated by Profa. Dra. Silvia Laurentiz. The event was supported by Capes and Fapesp. The format followed a seminar structure, in which the members were intended to discuss issues related to the 3 research groups participating: GIIP Group – International and Interinstitutional Research Group about the Convergencies between Art, Science and Technology – IA-Unesp/CNPq – coordinated by Profa. Dra. Rosangella Leote; CAT Group – Science / Arts / Technology – IA-Unesp/CNPq – coordinated by Prof. Dr. Milton Sogabe; and the Realidades Research Group – from tangible realities (extramentis) to the ontological realities – (intramentis) – ECA-USP/CNPq coordinated by Profa. Dra. Silvia Laurentiz. The meeting aimed to promote an exchange and the discussion on relationship between art, science and technology and their aesthetic effects, as a result of a collaboration between different knowledge fields. This Meeting aimed to promote a cross between a theoretical and artistic production in the exchange between different areas of knowledge. The meeting had three major themes: “Art and the Complexity of Knowledge”, “Art and Neuroscience”, and “Art, Technology and Interaction”.
