Embodiment, Sound and Space

The lecture proposes a review of a research conducted between 2009 and 2016 in sonic arts (.e.g. sound installlations, electroacoustic compositions and performance). How Embodiment, Sound and Space may create a merger and how is this perceived ?
Historical influences are also proposed to contextualize the works.

Biography
Luca Forcucci is a composer, artists and researcher of Swiss and Italian citizenships.
His research observes the perceptive and dynamic properties/relations of sound
and space. The field of possibilities is explored in music and art as experience. In
this context, Luca is interested in perception and consciousness.
He obtained a PhD from De Montfort University, and a MA from Queens University Belfast. He conducted research with University of the Arts Berlin, INA/GRM in Paris and the Brain Mind Institute in Switzerland. His artworks are presented worldwide on a regular basis as compositions, performances, sound installations, photography and texts (Biennale of Sao Paulo, Biennale of Venice, Festival Multiplicidade Rio de Janeiro, Centro Municipal de Arte Hélio Oiticica Rio de Janeiro, Akademie der Künste Berlin, MAXXI: Museum of XXI Century Arts Rome, Rockbund Museum Shanghai, Haus der Elektronischen, Künste Basel, Présences Electroniques Festival Geneva, Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel) and are in the collections of the Swiss National Library, Swatch and the Djerassi Foundation in San Francisco. The writings are published by Leonardo Journal, Springer Press and Nature. The records are released by Universal, Cronica in Porto and Subrosa in Bruxelles. www.lucalyptus.com
